This course on anti-money laundering discusses what it is, your key responsibilities under the law, the penalties for non-compliance and how to recognize the warning signs of money laundering. The course focuses on Anti-Money Laundering (AML) laws - primarily the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) - that apply to financial intermediaries (FIs). FIs are institutions that criminals are most likely to use for laundering their criminally-earned funds. As a key employee of an FI, the BSA charges you with certain mandatory responsibilities that are designed to help you detect and prevent money laundering. This 30-minute course provides the knowledge and the tools you and your company need to set up internal programs and training, as well as reporting requirements, in order to comply with the laws. Information is presented in easy-to-follow sections with appropriate breaks for note taking and review.
