Virginia is the very first state to implement a standard specifically addressing measures to reduce the spread of SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19. It serves as a supplement to enhance existing VOSH laws, rules, and regulations and applies to all employers, employees, and places of employment in the Commonwealth of Virginia. This is now a permanent standard and went into effect on January 27, 2021.
Suggested Use:
To comply with the Virginia Infectious Disease and Prevention standard each business must provide training to all employees and prepare a written Infectious Disease Preparedness and Response plan if falling into certain risk categories.
